Why is the U.S. Congress in such a hurry to declare Bush a dictator and give up their powers? Iraq can be dealt with without the resolution giving Bush military carte blanche. The easy capitulation of the Senate scares the hell out of me.

because the congress by in large represents exclusively the same interests as the bush junta. corporate amerikkka wants global fascism in order to drive down wages and drive up prices and members of congress have been hand-picked to deliver. and then of course theres the ever popular attitude that fascism is the only mode of governance thats compatible with human nature and as such sees its growth is progress.

Yeah! I'm no expert but WTF? This is rididulous. How do they figure it's gonna be a quick easy war? Just because the liberation of Kuwait and the ousting of the Taliban went well? I hope Powell does some fancy footwork to save hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of lives now.
