mescaline in lophophora williamsii caepitosa
    #9482283 - 12/23/08 09:17 AM (15 years, 3 months ago)

"Mescaline to Pellotine concentrations for Caespitosa varieties are similar and consistent to those of L.Williamsii."

Does everyone agree with that statement? Thanks

Never tripped on lophs. When I thought about doing it I thought it would be too damn bitter and gave up and planted the buttons.

one would assume that if it is just a variation on the regular williamsii that the chemical make up is similar.

they often are, especially the smallest pups, who knows why...
perhaps the majority of the plants energy is going elsewhere and those heads will never fully form.

I assume its a graft. If you look at the distance to the pot, its obvious. He could just be holding the plant in front of the pot . I'm betting it was a seedling graft. Thats probably what he meant. I love caespitosa grafts. Actually I prefer them.

I thought it was grafted at first myself, but I emailed him and asked. He said it was not grafted and grown by seed

that's not a degraft.
it's perfect, not bloated or anything

the largest heads are always pushed up higher by the mass of smaller pups growing below, giving the impression to an untrained eye that it is on a root stock, EG

He's probably just holding it above the pot or its an illusion. I wouldn't stress.

I know :bluemoon:. Look at the distance from the lip of the pot to the lowest heads. Thats what I'm saying, also it would be WAY underpotted. It would have to be falling out the pot.

I want one of those variegated yellow caespitosa. Buy it!

yeah it's underpotted, that's all...
look at the shape of the pot, it's oval.
