Hand carved cow bone sheath and steel blade. This one was made sometime between 1910 and 1920.

Sweet knife.
I bought a Milwaukee hawk bill pocketknife about a month ago for stripping wire, turns out the fucker is pretty awesome for ~$15.

top: a cheap dagger that I keep sticking out from under my mattress.
bottom: I've had this knife since I was 12. I don't remember exactly where I got it. Indoor swap meet, maybe.

I have a buddy that keeps a greatsword on his headboard. I can at least understand that sort of decoration. Having a hard time envisioning that dagger "sticking out from under your mattress."

So why's it under your mattress and not your pillow then?

And... Yeah this.
It'd be more useful as a scythe, but it would be pretty damned near impossible to convince the police that you're carrying it for any other reason than to kill somebody.

That things looks pretty blunt, except for the serrations (which you'd have to maintain fastidiously, with a file, if you actually use that thing regularly). I'm also not really sure what the point of the serrations are though. You generally use a shovel to puncture things, not tear them.

It's definitely for reaping. Scythe shaped knives are really popular as "combat knives" and whatnot, but if you buy something that's sold as a combat or a fighting knife then you've already lost the argument about whether you ever intended to do anything with it aside from kill somebody. They're also a bitch to sharpen.

Serrations on a shovel are generally for cutting through roots.
Or the plastic layers people put over their gardens that I'm too poor to have ever used and too ignorant to understand.
Have torn them up before though

My girl was talking about how she wanted a new knife for when she's jogging the neighborhood a while back. I went by Bass Pro Shop and picked her up a Benchmade Griptilian for Christmas. It was hard not to buy one for myself.

Knives really arent safe for self defense. Shes significantly more likely to hurt herself or have it taken from her than actually fight someone off
Whats wrong with pepper spray, or a handgun even?
Nice knife though. I wanna get a minigrip with a sheepsfoot at some point
