Cold Steel Night Force. It's teflon coated I should have gotten a powder coated version, but the knife is great anyway. Cold Steel makes a great knife.

So I've had my Fallkniven F1 for a day or two now and I gotta say this thing is a beast and a half for a 4 inch blade.

It came razor sharp out of the box, like sharp enough to shave with it. Thing has a super thick (5mm) tapered spine, to a scandi edge. And with a hardness of 59 HRC, Laminated VG10 steel..
Last night I batoned some small logs with it.. it went through oak and birch like butter. Then I sliced some tomatoes.. paper thin. Didn't notice any noticeable difference in the edge after that. thing held its edge like a champ, haven't had to sharpen it yet.
I am definitely super satisfied with this blade, was definitely well worth $100. Hopefully it lasts me the rest of my life.
So I got nothing but good things to say about Fallkniven. I'm thinking about buying another larger survival knife from them for more heavy duty stuff, like the A2 But I'm thinking I should be ok with this blade and my Gransfors Bruks axe, between those two and a small hand saw, that should be able to handle most wilderness tasks. Though a spare badass blade can't hurt..

Thats my motto!
Shroom, that is a really nice knife, I like the simplicity of it.
I was checking out that website and they have some awesome knives on there, I like the A1.
Did you have it shipped to the US?
How long did it take?
Shipping?

I got it shipped from a US company that has them in stock, so it only took a couple days, standard shipping.
http://www.knifeworks.com/ - they carry a lot of good brands.
I think I'm totally sold on Fallkniven. Though I've heard some really good things about Bark River also.

just got this gerber LMF piece. this thing is no joke. i love it but its definitely not an everyday knife. http://www.gerber-tools.com/Gerber-LMF-II-22-01629.htm

everyday blade is more like a kershaw leek in flat black if no the chive. also have the kershaw Blur, but thats more like a backup pack.

My thoughts exactly, I carry a Kershaw Chive or maybe its the scallion, I forget. Whichever is the bigger one. But it is perfect size and the spring loaded blade is awesome.

I used to collect tons of knives when i was a kid. I had shy of a hundred at any given time.
Gave/lost most away over the years, and about 6 were taken by the Fuzz when i was younger on an aggravated assault charge, hah
I was given two Mtechs today. Not into the tactical shit, but they were free.
cheap,but well made little blades.

heres the ones that were close by, there's probably another 10 or more around the house.
The Kbar is original, and was giving to me when i was a kid. Guy that gave it to me had a picture of his uncle or something( who's knife it was) holding that knife and a severed asian head in the other hand.
It goes with me to the fucking grave.
The rusty original Buffalo Skinner is my second favorite. It was my gramps since he was a youngin'. One of the nice Old german made ones.
other than that, just your typical shit. Some real real old, new, ect.
I found the little brass one on the road walking home from school in like 7th grade. When i screwed the handle off i found some meth, hah,.

I've got a SOG Trident 2.0, a Precise Deerslayer, and a Victorinox Swiss army knife (this thing has saved my ass more times than I can count, and it looks it). Only one I bought was the SOG, the swiss army knife was a gift from my dad when I was 11, the deerslayer was a gift from a friend when I moved across the country (a year ago)
Not a collector at all, but I really like my blades
Here they are:

Heres a better one of the SOG (from the website)

Ive got a wicked axe as well, but thats in my car and I dont feel like getting it.

I had a really badass handmade knife I got from a Hawaiian native. It had a very cool blade design, held it's edge like no knife I've ever had, and really cool lizards painted into the handle.
Then it got jacked from my tent at a bonfire while I was taking a leak.
I've got a nice ass Fiskars axe, like this one but all black, nice and stealthy
