Kershaw Ken Onion Leek - Model 1660ST

Best. Knife. Ever.
Been in my pocket for at least 10 years now. It has an almost flawless 'pocket shine'. I have cleaned numerous fish, 2 antelope, and a deer out in the field with this.

I bought a little one but couldn't help but go back and get something a bit bigger.
It's a beast. There's a compass, matches, fishing line and hook in the handle.

Nice Mike_yy. Maverick, did you know that the core steel in my Fallkniven 3G knives were conceived by Hattori? Fallkniven has a brief description of his influence. I want some Cowry X.

some knives i have owned:
a friction folder forged and assembled by Nagao Higonokami, this is what i currently edc. its Hitachi #2 blue paper steel. differentially hardened of course. handle is brass with a heavy patina. the metal that the pivot is made of, is a mystery. probably cheap stainless steel. its 120 mm while fully opened:
i also had a couple spyderco militarys, one i customized, the other came with a black DLC coating. the custom one started as standard millie, s30v steel. then, i had a desert tan powdercoat applied to it by a local coating shop. then i had custom G-10 handles made by "tuffthumbz"(he has a youtube account). i sold it a long time ago, but i still have 2 good pics
this is the powdercoat:
this is after i got the custom handles(the coloring is fucked up, but the handle and blade are both desert tan). the knife on top is the standard DLC millie, the next one is a fixed blade i was selling for a friend, and the bottom one is the custom with the scales tuffthumbz made:
this is a spyderco tenacious that my dads friend was nice enough put an amber laminate on for free: i love the tenacious. its a really awesome knife for only 25$
those are a few i already have uploaded pics of

I love the brass knife with the Hitachi blue steel blade, although don't use it as a prying tool. The S30 is a tough steel, but the 3G is better suited for a blade material IMO. Nice collection I like. The special touch on the one knife. Nice!

1095 utility stamped steel. I had a USMC version with a bayonet mount that I threw in the trash about 25 years ago. I was cleaning out the old shed that I had and it was just in the way. I used corn knives and real machetes (2' blades) to get work done at the time. If I had it to do over I would have kept it for sure. Low carbon, easy to sharpen, edge rolls easily. I would have it for a "wallhanger" since it was from the Korean war. I kick myself every day for being so stupid as to just toss it.
I have my eye on a Fallkniven A1 or A2 for that sort of configuration. Much better quality blade (harder to sharpen) but stays sharp much longer. Price reflects the quality of the steel used. I love VG-10 steel. It also looks great.

That's awesome. Opinels are very easy to sharpen as well. I don't hunt them either, but I do take pics of gills for identification once in a while, so the brush is a sweet addition as well as the ruler for identification purposes. Good find.

My DPX HEST. Love this knife. One of the strongest I've owned and holds an edge pretty well. The prybar at the bottom is a great feature too.

I have one of those Estwing hatchets as well as a single hand held wood splitter.

I lent the splitter to a neighbor to drive in Horseshoe stakes. It was brand new when I lent it to him. This is how it was when he gave it back to me.

not an outdoorsy knife, but i like this thread and wanna bump it.
my bro went on a school trip to Spain and Morocco about 12 years ago, and got me this Koummya

the blade is just straight up iron, it was originally rusted to shit, and what little monitary value it did have went up in smoke when i decided polished the blade. i have no idea what the scabbard/handle metal is, but cheap aluminum or pewter is my guess. the black part of the handle is a really light, soft wood
its looks traditional, but they still produce them to sell to tourists, mine is probably under 20 years old. some people get scammed into spending like 50-100 dollars on them, but they are worth about 5-10 in actuality cause their all cheap reproductions
