Though I'd contribute my new knife to this thread. Just picked up a Buck 110 Folding Knife for $30. Haven't had a chance to try it out on any difficult tasks yet, but it feels like a real nice knife for the price.

I carry a small blade and a Co2 pistol and kill squirrels. They are densely overpopulated in my area and a lot of fun to shoot. The bb's go right through them, I have a Beretta Co2 gun that takes steel 4mm bb's. Shoots 600fps max. For $60 you could buy the same gun, then it's like $20 for ammo + Co2 cartriges. Best $80 I ever spent.

I kept one of those around for small vermin down South. a .22 for bigger vermin, and a .38, .306, 12 gauge, 9mm, and a .30-06 for a variety of larger organic annoyances.

Leathermans are where it's at! I have a Leatherman Fuse and it is multifunctional in all the ways you'd hope for!

Hard to beat this. Daisy did a good job at making this gun seem like a toy to mom, while dad knew what was up, even if you might be suspected of "shooting your eye out." Had this when I was 7 or 8. Soda cans quivered in my path.

soda cans?!!! I murdered any bird that dared come into our yard when I was a kid. I shot a very large western grey squirrel once and was horrified after killing it. my mom let me hunt the yard when they weren't looking. she knew I was killing birds, but probably not how many and what species. I was allowed to kill the starlings but flat out robin raping was off limits. I never killed a crow or hawk. I really can't believe I never shot a hawk. seems like it would have been #1 on my list. one morning I shot our neighbor's cat in the ass with a 3 pump shot. he was a cool cat, but he had a habit of raping our cat. he'd sneak into our house and eat our cat's food as fast as possible, then run around the house trying to find an exit.

There was a short stent in my bb gun days where I thought it was cool to kill animals for fun, or my own perception of justice...but at age 8 when I got my .22 and 16 gauge I learned what death meant. At that point the idea of killing for sport more or less left my mind. Was probably when I put a 16 gauge slug through a neighbors hat who was up on the ridge I didn't see I knew that guns and death are not for fun. Putting food on the table become my main goal...though having a crack shot aim was fun too.

Ha same. Any bird on site was fair game. Got my first Crosman pellet gun at age 7. After that, sadly hundreds of birds died due to me being an asshole to them. I accidently shot a red tailed hawk. I was 10 years old. "Saw a 'dove' at the top of a tree like doves do, aimed and shot, the thing flew like an angel swan diving head first from about 3 stories, it was a young red tailed(I felt so fucked up...I admired some birds like Hawks, Eagles)

Figures it would be something as completely undeniably awesome as BM. That's been on my list of things to do for the past 10 years. Great pic. Good to know even the spacemen up there can see we're trying to get our act together down here.

And leave the rest of the world behind? Nah, too much love for some of the idiots out there to leave them wondering alone.

Oh, knife porn
Here are a few of mine.
Those Case knives are the same age I am, and that schrade is from the early-mid 80's if I remember correctly.
My wife also has a Kershaw twitch(?). Just a tiny little thing with a fast blade, but it's handy.

I grabbed these at the flea market today for $65.. I think it was a decent enough deal. I've heard SOG makes good blades.

My knife is the Fallkniven F1 a modern military knife.

Best small knife you'll ever own. Concave blade, VG10 supersteel sandwiched between flexible stainless steel.

I was trying to decide between a Fallkniven F1 and a Bark River Bravo 1
After hours and hours of exhaustive research I decided on the F1. Got it here

Woot. Can't wait until that bad boy gets here. If it's good enough for pilots of the Swedish Air Force, it's good enough for me.
4 years of loyal service, this thing is still my favorite fucking knife in the world. It does everything. Goddamn everything. I've also abused the fuck out of it, and it's still razor sharp (only sharpened it once?), and looks like it's just now starting to get "worn in". Fucking incredible blade. It splits wood with ease and then you can go slice razor thin tomatoes with it right after.
