Found these on a hike yesterday, found more today, and probably more tomorrow =]

Notice the dead husk to the left of this last one. Saw lots of that today.

sometimes it takes almost a year for them to grow
so in that sense, u could say they are year round.
i mostly find them in the fall/winter though, but im sure the season varies.
also, they grew 24/7 in the Fijian Islands.

Curious, I was wondering about the season for these myself when picking. My reading indicates that they're a seasonal thing, but it looks like its a 6month season or something? Im wondering if they're yr round here due to the fact that I'm getting them in a temperate rain forest... Any input??? Ive actually quit looking for cyans and azures just to get my hands on these....on a side note, reishi tea ENTIRELY cut out the high anxiety noticed when tripping with cyans and azures, absolutely fantastic =]

you will found then for a long time even if is dry, the fruit body will still persit in the log , if bettle or animal dont eat then , in my area bettle destroy in pieces the mushrooms once they star producing spores .
is really interesting what you said about the effect on psilocybe , i have notice azurences and cyanescesn give a speed felling , also cubensis but cubenisis also have cramp or stomag disconfort for me , but the mushrooms shaman use here they said are diferent and they give you a relax felling with extreme visual and visions more that visuals, wich is what i love , i fell with this mushrooms mi body disconect and only mi mind is active travelling. and i believe there is another substance in this mushrooms. that why i normally dont try other mushrooms , since they give me that speed anxiety ...wich can be frustating at the beggining of the trip , now i get so relax that i dont even fell when they are starting , but usually it star when i ingest then or few second before i do it, mi mind alredy know what is going to happend and begging to work ....

This is the first time I have heard anyone claim that Reishi does anything dramatic.
If this works for everyone, it would be quite an important thing to know!
We need more testing.

Reishi is the most useful of herbs. It is said to even be a antidote for mushroom poisoning.

reishi gives you about as much of a 'high' as good green tea. I drink reishi tea alot it raises my metabolism and flushes me out. When you first start drinking it, you'll notice soon after you drink some, depending on how much you steep, you'll notice a flushing sensation. Sometimes after parties or festivals, I'll drink a good amount of reishi tea the next day to get shit out of me.

As far as hunting goes, up here in the northwoods, it seems to be an every other year kinda thing. They will fruit hard one year, then they do nothing, all my spots do this same thing, huge beautifull fruits one year then the next the dried bodies remain, perhaps this provides the necessary elements to remain a healthy fungus idk.
