Is anyone here a satanist? Mushies don't officially go well with Satanism (according to LaVey), but I think psilocybin is perfectly satanic: -it's an individual response/trip, it's very intellectual/enlightening, it's EXTREMELY pleasureful. Those are all very satanistic qualities. Gee gosh, I love mushies.

hi urteno keep munching those shrooms, my friend. hopefully, in time, they will help you grow beyond lavey's slanted view, to find that the harmonious interplay of darkness and light is necessary for our continued existance here. perhaps one day you may be surprised and disappointed to discover that 'satan' is none other than christ's alter ego. happy trails!

I was back in my younger years. Then I realized that being a satanist and going along with that dogma was basically the same thing as going along with any other christian dogma. Rules, conduct, power mongering. I later realized that I was to much an individual to belong to any religion.
As for whether that religion would go well with mushrooms. Sure, any pleasureful, hedonistic drug/experience would. But the reason Anton Svandor Lavey doesn't want his people to use mushrooms is the same reason that priests and lawmakers outlaw drugs as well. They cannot control the thoughts of people who think for themselves.
I still do believe in some of the philosophy I used to believe, but now I am an individual who is (almost) secure enough in myself to stand on my own feet without any crutches. Well except for the drugs, alcohol, sex, music, and insanity. but other than that I stand on my own.

Rad. This is what I think too. I like a lot of the ideas in the Satanic Bible but would not consider myself a satanist. I doubt, though, that LaVey's anti-psilocybin stance was because he lost control of thoughts, but because he thought since drugs are addictive( ), they represent compulsion not indulgence, and he wanted to make the point that compulsion is bad clear.

I have only a few problems with this particular branch of satanism. Their laws ARE contradictory... they ARE elitist... and they ARE dogmatists. I've exchanged emails with "Nadramia" (an official of the site)... s/he really didn't know what her own religion was about. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't expect much from a dogmatist.

lavey is a dumbfuck who isnt even a real satanist like sed b4 lavey's satanism = Indulgence and has nothin to do with REAL satanism.its jus that indulgence is one of the characteristics linked with lucifer therefore following much in the foot steps of christianity he started the first "church of satan" which if u ask me is an oxymoron. i am not a satanist but ive done my best to educate my self. i think anton jus needed to get laid so being the charismatic person he was lured ppl into this "religion" ask ppl that are members (or were) of the church of satan. its basically all orgies and shit. why do need a form of guidance (religious) anyway? by the way have u read laveys satanic bible funny shit that book is, wut an asshole he claims satan is non-existant but uses his name to lure ppl to his church.

Hell No!
-------------------- To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.' Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence. Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

I came to the exact same conclusion, it just took me longer. I was a sad, lonely individual. Hedonism is my true nature. ahhh, glorious pleasure.
