Which Alice in Wonderland do you like best?

The original.....Or the the made-for-TV (1999) movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, as the Cheshire Cat..

I personally like the new (1999). If you haven't see it, check it out..It has been on TV for the past few weeks..

"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" Is definitely my favorite one. It's a live version made in 1972 with british actors. The costumes are very professionally done and the soundtrack is also the best one out of all the versions of the movie.

They're making a new one with Mr. Johnny Depp as the mad hatter and Tim Burton directing. Might be cool.

I like the original one because of all the memory's.

But the 1999 one was good too, I remember watching the premier a long time ago, all those damn ad's!

Yeah Americanpsycho I like that one...It puts a whole other spin on it...Stays true to the classic but freshens it up a bit..

I copied it on VHS when it was premiering but that thing went to crap and its pretty unwatchable now.

The classic Disney animated version was obviously the best, but my second favorite is the Svankmajer version that tangerines mentioned.

Its kind of a strange dreamlike surrealist, mixed with some stop motion, type of film rendition of it... (if that makes any sense)

PS-I'm a HUGE Svankmajer fan so my second fav. might be a bit biased...

Can you recommend some other Svankmajer stuff? Alice is the only thing I've seen from him.
