I've had problems breaking through. The main reason, which I am a little reluctant to admit, was the harshness of the smoke. Water or no water, it's just too harsh. Holding it in for the required amount of time is not pleasant. I knew my technique was correct all along, and I assumed I was holding it in right, but no breakthrough for me.

Recently I had a low, 1st plateau DXM trip. While I was coming down, and the DXM had largely faded away, I decided to try some Salvia. I fucking BROKE THROUGH HARD. MULTIPLE TIMES.

Holy shit. Why was it so easy to experience the magical wonderland of salvia repeatedly? I figured it out after a while:

DXM is a fucking cough medication AND recreational doses act as an analgesic, so that means: I don't cough because I cannot feel the harsh smoke in my lungs. I can hold it in for as long as I want without coughing! :laugh:

It didn't sting at all, it felt really weird and tingly instead.

So I melted into my chair completely, and I had a cosmic breakthrough of infinite proportions. It was so amazing. Basically I was in a cartoon like world, and looping for ages. Melting into my chair was the strangest fucking thing I have ever felt. Dear god that was fucked. You people really aren't kidding when you say that you literally become whatever you're sitting on . Nothing will prepare you for that. The actual trip to salvia land is just... indescribable. Like, nothing happened that could be described with conventional english. How do you describe a looping infinity of shapes and colors so that someone can understand what you went through?

Only thing is that the DXM might add to the confusion, so... yeah. It's not pure Salvia, BUT, you do break through for what it's worth.

I wonder if this would work with something like 75 mg or 150 mg of DXM just for cough suppressant properties.
