while walkin home from school one day to my friends house down the street, we came upon a small group of about 20-30 mush on his neighbors lawn. at first i didn't think anythin of it, but they seemed to be drawing my eye towards them.
So i grabbed a few of them, and noticed that the caps had black/blue around the edges and seemed to be brusing a tint of blue. i also saw that the gills were black and dropped wet spores of jet black onto my fingers so i grabbed them, and now doin a spore print right now. active or nonactive? thats for you to decide. here are the pics--

any comments/opinions are highly appreciated. thanks alot.

ok. you should learn some other mushrooms. learn what is not psilocybe then you will find them.
what you have is one of the easiest mushrooms for a beginner to determine, yet you still have no clue.
your name is fitting.
coprinus atramentarius or coprinus micaceous.

dont be so sorry. its ok i just see coprinus everywhere every day. yesterday i saw about5 distinct species. they dont even look like pslocybe or panaeolus. only very superficially. please do yourself a favor and at least look at some pictures before you just post every little brown mushrooms you find. please dont be so sorry, and dont be scared to post. i just want you to get closer to success, and the random methods are not so likely to produce success. good luck

Those are Coprinus micaceus, a very common edible mushroom. Don't eat them once the gills have started turning black. They are OK if you get them while the gills are still white. Make sure to cook them right away to stop them from changing.

hehe thanks. i am sorry though, because the only actives that grow around here this time of year are possible libs and pan subs. i should've known myself because i know every possible thing about those 2 species
so your opinion towards me was sort of a *slap over the back of the head. hehe sry again, i just hoped that i'd find an active for once =x
if any of you guys wanna talk, IM me on digitalxiii, or email me at nimrodd@tumyeto.com
