Alright so here is my first attempt at a pereskiopsis graft of a L. Williamsii.

I'll keep updating with future grafts and progress.

Not to be a downer, but I've read that once your pereskiopsis loses all its leaves, growth of the scion is slowed.. and you only have three leaves to start with.  Be sure to remove any branches that will start growing from the top areoles, as they will take nutrients that could be going up to the scion.

it's fine, it'll grow.

look for bloating, that's a sign that the graft took. looks good.

As long as it grows a little faster than normal I'll be happy

Bloating on the scion or stock?

there are rings in them. when you cut them you can see the rings, it's the 'veins' of the cactus.

you've got to make so that they have contact with each other.

http://www.cactiguide.com/article/?article=article7.php

this site shows the image of the rings and how to properly align them.

pereskiopsis grafts are easy as hell, i never paid any attention to the vascular rings and 90% of them worked :yesnod:

a stock with more leaves would have been better but it will be fine.

Ugh, I actually knocked it off when trying to put the humidity tent back on today. I cut small slivers off both the scion and stock to get some fresh juices and stuck 'em back together, think it should be ok?

Serves me right being nosey
