If Blazing Saddles were a perfect analogy to right now, this is what it would look like.

If you haven't seen Blazing Saddles don't comment on all this nonsense.  I am not trying to form a conspiracy theory, I'm only making an analogy between blazing saddles and one version of reality that might be true.  I'll start with the beginning of the movie and work to the end, enjoy.  This explanation assumes that a Hedley Lamar (a puppeteer) exists.

Here's what might have happened:

Sheriff Bart is Barack Obama

Hedley Lamar is the architect of the plot (maybe Karl Rove)

Mel Brooks plays the idiot governor (Bush Jr.)

Madeline Kahn is yet to be determined in reality, but is a possible Monica-esque temptress, in the movie she is hired to seduce Sherrif Bart so that they could, essentially, impeach him.  Think Marylin Monroe and John Kennedy.

The people of the town represent the people of America ("The common clay of the new west, you know, morons").

Gene Wilder represents rag-tag youth who's been run down by life (a kid shooting him in the ass) and is saved, essentially, by Sherrif Bart's advice and help.  This is our declining suburban population.  Bash me if you want for saying it, but in a lot of places you gotta keep your head down because shit is declining, and there's a whole lot of stupid kids with guns who don't know how to kill responsibly (if there is such a thing).

Last but not least, Mongo represents the big dumb retard inside us all.  You can deny it all you want, but Mongo is a nice guy to have around.

There are some other charachters, but they are pretty self explanatory.

This is how it plays out, I'll only use real life people in this bit.

Karl Rove works for the government.  The government wants to build a road through the country of America.  In order to do so, they send Barack Obama to rule the nation, possibly without Obama knowing this himself (but it's why he got the job so fast).  Obama shows up at his inauguration, and the people who are inaugurating him are doing so with great suspicion because he is a nigger.  They don't kill him though.  The government gets pissed because they had hoped that they would kill him on the spot.  The order for his execution, and send a Madeline Kahn figure to try to fuck him so that he'll be caught cheating on his wife with a white woman.  (Sherrif Bart has no wife mentioned, that is one inconsistency that cannot be removed between reality and Blazing Saddles).

That doesn't work, because the Madeline Kahn figure falls in love with him.

So, new plan, the government uses its ties with the working class to try to find someone who will kill Obama.  They send the biggest, dumbest, retard they can find to kill him, this could possibly be a metaphor for public opinion as a whole.  (Mongo rides a bull with "Yes/No" tattooed on its ass) Obama dispatches public hate with a joke (candy gram).

Obama wins over public opinion, but not the government, which still needs him to die so they can build the railroad.  They try to take it by force.  The end is the tricky part.  I take it to be this:

The people of America stop believing in America, and start believing in themselves.  They fool the government into thinking that they won the town, and then they turn on them.

In the end, Obama leaves, and the town doesn't even need a sherrif apparently.

The picture with Karl Rove made my heart leap.
