i agree with fbetsy in the sense that herb does have the tendancy to mask a trip. the only time i'll smoke during a trip is if i start to freak out for one reason or another. usually smoking near the end of a trip is good too. as for alcohol, i don't know if it does anything, but i just like to have some magic hat around as a chaser for the shrooms.

HELL YES!! im permafried and even now when i smoke bud i mildly hallucinate. the more you toke the more intense the trip gets

Drinking doesn't enhance my trips, but smoking the ganja while tripping on acid makes the visuals spectacular. Even if you didn't take very much acid, and it's not really visual at all, smokin' a joint can open up the visuals 3 fold. Unfortunately, marijuana tends to cloud the experience.
