There are greater beings whose nature is neither good, nor evil. If we get in their way they will squash us like a bug. Evolution to these states is quite possible, along with evolution to those more focused on helping or those more focused on harming.
Don't believe all the propaganda you hear.
Are you messing with me ? Seriously.. I never said it implies service to others. I tried explaining the differentiation. And [service to others] wanderers , that find themselves dwelling on the negative side do no good for themselves or others. Eventually , if this dwelling took hold.. no "transfer" would occur.. Simply regression to the confused state , and possibly a repetition of the cycle.. This is the intent of those , who you claim will squash us like bugs.
Well.. on the count of all helping souls.. in our defense.. I offer an example of non-acknowledgment right now.. Squash me like a bug.. Id like to see it. I dont buy it.. And its not a matter of believing or disbelieving they exist.. Just recognizing their attempts at creating fear. Fear .. caused by a lie.. And im not scared.
I stand in their way.. Thats what i do.
-------------------- --------------------- All my posts in this forum are strictly fictional. They are derived from an acute mental illness , from which i am forced to lie compulsively. I have never induced any kind of mind altering substance in my life and i have no intentions whatsoever of doing anything illegal. If I have ever suggested such a thing it would have most likely been , due to my personality disorder and i probably do not remember it at all..

To each his own. Eventually one recognizes the futility of trying to stop the inevitable. And besides, playing with the bad guys is a hell of a lot more fun than playing by the rules.
At any rate, the intent of my post was not to argue as to which path is better, but more of a curiosity poll as to what people in M&P would actually do if they discovered how to use their power.

There are no "rules" you need to play by.
Its quite simple, every aspect of creation has only to answer to itself. You are your only judge.
Service to others will land you in a harmonious reality. Those who are extremely negative polar (service to self 95% of the time) will land themselves in a dog eat dog reality.

Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.

I think we can debate that

"With great power comes great responsibility".... heh....
You would instantly become the bull in the China shop.... I have actually thought about what it would be like to manipulate and move things in reality with the mind.... And I was left to wonder how much more bad things would come of it by accidental thoughts alone, or out of instant reactionary thoughts, or daydreaming....
I guess I would practice control as well as I could to "master" the ability.... And I sure as fuck wouldn't show anyone, nor let anyone know....

Depending exactly on how I figured this out, in short, I would find a way to allow more people (eventually everyone) to get to where I am. This would require the training of most people...because the earth would last about 10 seconds with 6 billion omnipotent beings. I think it would have to be an almost exclusively altruistic setting.
What would you do?

Why would you want competition?
I'd probably be a selfish bastard and wreak mischievous havoc around the world to unsuspecting humans. That and try to transcend this mortal plane.

Competition for what? What's the goal/prize?
I would think that would get lonely after a few millenia...

Probably. But the first half of a millennium would be interesting to say the least.
I'd rather not have other omnipotent beings around on the off-chance that they try to destroy me. If our mutual omnipotence makes it impossible for us to harm each other, then I see no harm in teaching a few others the secret.

There is more than one way to harm a person in a non-physical sense.... I still stand by the clause, for so many reasons....
