ok i have a cake that is nothign but aborts and its getting on my nerves. i want to know how to stop aborts. and what causes them(high humidit for example)

Fan, Spray walls, moist perlite, temp at around 75 degree. Keep those in order and youll probably get less abhorts.

Aborts could be the result of excessive humidity, insufficient air exchange (and possibly a related buildup of CO2), or a contaminant (e.g. flies/nematodes).

Other possibilities are uneven pinning (pick aborts early or they will monopolize the nutrients, to the exclusion of potential mature fruit bodies), excessively high temperature, or a lack of nutrients in your substrate.

Sounds like a lot of possibilities, but if you review one thing at a time, you'll figure out what the problem is. If all of the above are OK, then your problem is a poor strain.

you're getting some good advice here, co2 is a common cause of aborts, so fan it 2 to 3 times a day, if not more.
