LC issues?

OK, so i made a few jars of lc following a tek i found by cream corn. i used organic honey from a health food store. i used 4% honey as the write up said. (4 grams per 100ml distilled water) i made 300ml and used slightly less than 12g of honey as not to go over 4%. i then proceeded to steam the jars for less then 1/2hr and Im letting them sit, although i noticed sediment on the bottom of the jars. is this because i caramelized the sugars? or is this normal and i just need to filter it out? if its not a big deal can i knock up my jars?? i almost think i used to much honey. id be very thankful for any help

Well, some sediment is normal, but you want as little as possible.

With honey or karo, you can't filter, because after you filter, they suggest you PC again since you've exposed it to open air.

Also, 1/2 an hour is WAY too long to PC a liquid culture, especially honey. Recommended time is about 15 minutes. That's why you have so much carmelization.

BUT, you used an acceptable amount of honey.

This is 4% honey after 4 days.

LASTLY: If you can, DEFINITELY use Karo. Practically no sediment, and clear as water. ^_^
