Throws of life.
    #941471 - 10/08/02 01:44 AM (15 years, 8 months ago)

I suppose this is as good of a place as any to post this since among the diatribe, scat porn, and utter idiocy of these forums I have witness some thoughtful insight, which is more than I can say for a lot of forums I've lurked. It's a question. When a loved one, more specifically a spouse, girlfriend, soulmate, signifcant other, or what the fuck else you want to call it either dies or is in the process of dying, what is one supposed to do once the denial and anger bullshit is out of the way? Well, not supposed to do but rather some wistfully crafted suggestions. I'm talking about that great downer, man; you look ahead and you see just another pie in the sky generalized future but it's even more inaccurate than a typical "hey, that's me in the future" because in this generalized future there's someone there that isn't going to be there in reality. That was a mouthful. Please, no Ghetto-Faulkner jokes.

Ive been through this. It wasnt a spouse or a partner just a friend and good person. I wish i could say that experience taught me something but it really didnt, life goes on.

Thats about all you can really say

my father died on me, when i was 12. made growing up the only male in my house hard. take life as it comes, when someone gives u lemons, chuck those bitches back at thier ass. its hard knowing that there isnt really much you can do to stop the unstoppable, just try to cope. time heals all wounds so they say, but i beg to differ, i would say they just put alot of neosporin and bandages on, but leave deep ass scars. if its something recent, that is always the hardest time, it will get better. just try not to dwell, and look towards the things you love the most still.
rain

Been there, done that.. had a close aunt, she lived with me and my parents, had a bad drug problem that led to suicide.... ..... ( similar to being sick and dying i would think ).

TIME>> is the secret.

Hard to accept but we will all die someday, sooner or later, just in a different way.

Don't think about it too much, it won't help.

Just keep on with your life and make the best of it!

hope that helps.

Here Johny,, have a joint.. all your friends are doing it!!

I havent experienced this yet..
I've had close people die on me but none that were a regular part of my life...

i think in some sort of spiritual way I saw the girl i was in love with slowly die over like the span of a year or so... that was really disturbing. For all i know, I probably contributed to it, too...
I wonder if this could be anything like physically dying...

Hang in there dude
