Just use an aquarium or rubbermaed container and hand spray using a very fine mist. You'll have to do it often though, which is why many people use perlite, it's a lot easier.

I forgot to mention that I have added perlite to my setup since the picture was taken and the cool mist comes on about six times a day for air exchange. If you don't use a cool mist or a fan of some sort you will manually have to lift the lid and fan about six times a day.

Hm. I'm just wondering, have you got any HEPA filters or such to let the CO2 escape, or are you using that Cool Mist exclusively? I'd believe the CO2 has a hard time escaping trough that thing, with the hose connected at the top of the Rubbermaid and everything... Or am I jusy way out, and you have no problems with CO2 whatsoever..?

I believe that he has holes in the side of it stuffed with polyfill to let the co2 escape. At least that's what I did with a similar setup. Just make sure to put the holes opposite the intake hose and toward the bottom of the terr.
