ok so i got my mushies chillin on a ironing board wit paper under them with a small desk fan blowing on them and they seem 2 b dryin just fine like this. Of course they are gonna shrink and shrivel, but when i weigh out an 8th it looks like alot more than there should b. Now my ?. Is there a way to dry them so they dont shrink and shrivel so much and they would still keep their appearance like they were still fresh looking? My buddy got a tri pod off someone a while ago and it looks perfect in appearance, held its shape and form nicely without shriveling up a whole lot and shrinking as well. any ideas as to how i could dry mine to have the same appearance as my friends tri pod/ a more effective method for say in drying them?

they keep their appearance best when they are solid all the way through. if they are hollow they are going to shrink and shrivel

They are shrinking and shriveling because the water is being removed from them. Mushrooms are mostly water - that is why substrates shrink during fruiting.
I don't know how your friend got a preserved mushroom, but there's no way to dry a mushroom while keeping it in it's fresh condition.
