Anyone have a link or post that can point me in the right direction maybe with pics on cultivating t. pervianus from cuttings?

It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. you have to buy his books.
basically you want to plant your calloused cutting deep enough so that it supports itself, then water it good so the soil gets the water through and through, then allow the soil to get completely dry again before watering again. Some suggest bottom watering others suggest top watering. In my opinion top watering isn't going to hurt it, and bottom watering is less efficient since cactus soil is hydrophobic compared to normal potting soil.
As for soil, many people here have different methods, but if you want the easy way, just get some schultz cactus soil, it works just fine.
After several months your cactus should be sufficiently rooted.
From there, place it in a nice warm, arid environment, where it gets good sun for most of the day, being sure to turn it if it doesn't get equal sun on all sides through out the course of the day. During it's growth period, water it frequently as perhaps once a week with a little bit of cactus fertilizer or whatever mix you prefer or think will work well, and during it's dormancy period you can allow it to sit with out water for longer periods of time, maybe every two weeks water.
This is very general though, i suggest trout's books.
