Do I keep the Aluminum Foil on the Jars?

I have used vermiculite and brown rice flour + water and then put them into a pressure cooker while wrapped in aluminum foil. After innoculation do I keep the foil on the jars to make them air tight? Do i want them air tight? Or do I remove the foil to allow air flow from the holes? I also have light brown/gray areas around my mycielium is that ok? Thank you very much.

I replace the foil with coffee filters. I know that they are by no means the best filters, but I make do with what I got. I haven't had all too big of a problem with contamination using coffee filters (about a 90% success rate.)

i always leave it on, not exactly air tight, though

i had steralized my jars by boiling them and i forgot to put tin foil over the lids and all my jars have colonized just fine with no contam or extra water in any of the jars.
