Hey,
After my friend told me that their new doberman pupp of under a year has been throwing up alot, and they think it may be due to eating mushrooms (they have seen her running aroudn witrh a stem hanging out of her mouth) sooo.. I started assessing the situation... I am in Northeast GA. Their house is on a huge field that had been cleared of trees and seeded with bermuda grass. They think the mushies are coming from around the buildings (where it stays moist) . There is lots of straw still laid down on the grass/clay. On that straw, there are patches of white micellia all around the buildings/ and a/c units.
Would you expect to find weiliis out here after a good rain...or is it probably just some other mushie. I have also heard that there are some people who already come over to this area for mushies. Could it be that others know of the weiliis?
If i were to go out one day after a good rain, what are the defining characteristics? I understand that they are fairly blue in coloration, even without bruising, irregular shaped caps??, and a weird smell... anything else?
thx jfi

There is a real possibility there could be weiliis, as well as several other mushrooms growing in the same enviroment. It would be worth checking out.

Eh... could be several hundered types of mushrooms, but it could be weilii. If you want pics of weilii, just search the forums, there's tons of pics of them.
