Should I care?

Global warming, war, starvation, alienation, pollution, ignorance, religion, prejudice. etc.
Should I care?
If the Tao does not care.
Not "do you care", but "should one care"?

Probably, but then again it's hard and worrying doesn't do much. It's too fucked for action anyway rly.
My vote is wait for it all to fuck up more then it can all start again, evoloution will sort itself out. You'll be dead pretty soon in the grand scheme of things anyway. Then you can't worry.
I don't know what the Tao is though.

Icelander said: If the Tao does not care.
the Tao is not a person who cares or doesnt care about things
Why make the Tao personal & attribute human qualities to it?

I did and i don't really understand it. I can never figure out with these eastern concepts if they are just a whole lot more spiritually advanced then me or if it's just a load of shit.
Quote:
Tao is, by contrast, often referred to as 'the nameless', because neither it nor its principles can ever be adequately expressed in words. It is conceived, for example, with neither shape nor form, as simultaneously perfectly still and constantly moving, as both larger than the largest thing and smaller than the smallest, because the words that describe shape, movement, size, or other qualities always create dichotomies, and Tao is always a unity.
What? None of that said what the tao is...

That's because the Tao is beyond description. You can notice attributes however. For instance most of nature lives on the death of other living things.

So it isn't a concept? What? Is it just imaginary or what? Where do i find this tao?
Quote:

This is true i don't see why this means tao though. Surely a word has got to describe something?
Dictionary definition of the Tao: "Sorry, this is just a random made up word."

Is the tao like a half gram line of ketamine? Now that i can relate too. Whether it is real or just my brain switching off i dono though. I don't see how it has any significance into how i live my life.

It's everything. It's the source. Yes, it's a concept (for us)

I give up i guess. One last stab... Quantum physics fields? Energy? Atoms behaving with infinite potential?

you claim to know the Tao yet you ask quesitons about caring...
"Should I care?
If the Tao does not care."
this makes it seems there is 'you' & 'Tao' when there is only Tao

I am Tao. I'm asking questions. Try getting around to the topic when you're done.

If i could come up with an answer it would be describable. Are you talking about the void, the source, the quantum field?
