Worked in a sheet metal shop... I backed up into a slicer and it ripped about 2 inches into both my legs, I could see the tendons.. It was :vaped:.. Probably the most painful thing I've ever felt, healed up 100% and now just 2 nasty scars are there

Emergency circumcision resulting in stitches in my dick, one of which was accidentally ripped out.  That's all I have to say about that.:noway:

I've also had my foot impaled in two places.  The doctor had to dig around to get stuff out.  That hurt worse than the stitches, in all honesty they were more shocking than painful.

Frostbite killed some tissue.  I put it off, but after a day it became apparent I needed medical help.  I went to a urologist (sp?) and to keep the damage from spreading we had to go over to the hospital for immediate surgery.  The stitch getting ripped out was my own fault, they were the dissolvable kind and I thought the one was ready.  I gave it a yank and

Luckily the damage had still been confined to my foreskin, so my equipment works fine.

i was skating at a skate demo trying out to get sponsored, i did a 360 flip to fakie on a quarter pipe, i somehow landed with my body weight over my arm, which landed on the coping to the quarter pipe, and i literally snapped my arm in half, i had a second elbow in the middle of my arm.

the bone didnt poke through the skin, but the amount of deformity was beyond belief.

i seriously broke some bonage.

I've probably dislocated my left thumb a few times and broken a few fingers.
Never got it checked though because if you're diagnosis is right then you can't play (lacrosse) for a few weeks.

Besides that just nasty bruises. So nothing serious.
I figure I'm bound for something bad in some freak accident one day.

The worst pain I have EVER felt was when I got stung by a stingray on the outside-top part of my foot. I felt a small poke then the most insane pain you can imagine. Blood was squirting out of my foot and I had to walk about half a mile on a pier to get back to the hotel. The intense pain lasted for about 4 or 5 hours. After that I lost feeling in that part of my foot for about a month a a half.

Second worse pain? Getting stung by a scorpion fish or a box jellyfish. The ocean doesn't fuck around.

Nah, you can survive them, especially a small sting. The problem is that they get ginormous and will "swarm" sometimes.

Irukandji, on the other hand, do kill people pretty often.

Edit: thats a lie. Irukandji haven't killed that many people as far as scientists/doctors know.

I was on a boat in Fla and the propeller had chopped up a bunch of jelly fish, and we didn't know it and went swimming.  I was stung pretty bad.

I've fallen into a giant red ant pile, and that was pretty painful.  In 2 seconds those fuckers were in my underwear and underneath my shirt, it was fucked.

I was clocked in the back of the head by a guy with a fistful of quarters.  I started to gush blood and there was a big hole in the back of my head.  It was drug-related so I couldn't go home and had to wash off the blood inside a gas station.  My concussion caught up with me and I passed out when I finally got home.  I really needed stitches, but I never got them.

I had a sore the doctor thought was a wart, so they gave me all these acid treatments to try and burn it off, but it was just sensitive deformed tissue on my knee, not a wart, so it was like pouring acid on an open wound.  They then tried to actually burn it off and freeze it off until they realized it was just a wound not a wart.  Fuckin' idiots.

On the bright side, I haven't broken a bone or ever had a cavity.

I got my first cavity two years ago in my very back tooth in a spot that is literally impossible to get at. Anyway the dentist said "Most people can't feel back there, so we'll try it without novacaine to try and save time if you're okay with that." I said yeah. BAD fuckin' choice. Bad bad bad.

So then he gave me novacaine and proceeded, but god DAMN that shit didn't work either, so that also sucked. He gave me some more and it was smooth sailing from there though.

He's a really good dentist too, so I don't blame him, just unfortunate.

That sounds so painful.  It reminds me of getting a car door shut on your finger.  That's such an intense short-term pain.  Ouch!

When I was eight I was playing on a playground and attempted to make a jump off the side, pommel horse style.

Well my foot got caught in one of the holes on the wall that I was clearing and I went over the side face first, about 10 feet. I landed with all my weight on the knuckles of my left arm and "SNAP!!" my whole arm got mangled. I broke my wrist in two places and a small fracture in my elbow.

That was the most painful injury while in the moment.

...

About a year later I was riding my bike. I was standing up and turned around to look behind me and the physics of the maneuver forced my right hand off the handle bar (like an exaggerated headcheck in a car).

Well my weight pushed down on the left handle bar because that's where the center of gravity for my upper body was located for that split second. Then I went down.

I snapped my left arm literally in half! It looked like I had two elbows except one was the opposite direction. I was in shock and though to myself,"Not again!"

So I made it to the hospital (My mom was freaking the fuck out during the whole thing while I remained calm.)

When I got to the hospital they gave me some "painkillers" and before they even had time to kick in the doctor came in and set the bones. That moment was a mix of blood-curdling pain, bone crunching, and the most fear I'll probably ever have for the rest of my life. I didn't know that kind of pain even existed. The thought haunts me.

2nd degree burn on my left thumb. i was pouring boiling tomato soup (didnt know how hot it was) into a soup cup at work and poured it all over my hand. i grabbed a towel to whipe it off. my skin came with it. that was the most intense pain i can remember feeling. i was in the ER 2 hours later and it was still intensely throbbing.

Damn! Burns are sooo bad.

I blew the skin off my thumb and index finger once.

Needless to say I learned the hard way why they say to not let other people light your fireworks for you. Especially when both parties are drunk. lol

I also had a fire cracker blow up in between my thumb and index finger right next to my ear as i was bringing to back to throw it.  No serious injury but a def reality check.

I had one similar in that location too!  Except it was from an airbag going off (the friction of the bag hitting my hand while it was resting on the steering wheel)

perhaps not as painful as some of these responses however,

when I was about 10 years old I was climbing in a tree next to
the river and ended up falling out of the tree into the bank of
the river.  I watched my arm break halfway between my wrist
and elbow.

Then I walked a quarter mile back down river to where my family
was to pack up our gear and drive an hour back to our house,
where we then had dinner, and then drove to the hospital.

After another hour wait, I was admitted to the ER and finally
had my X-rays taken and bones reset.

There are a few dirt biking accidents as well but not nearly
as painful as being 10 years old and watching my arm break.

Hand got blown off in Iraq. Lots of shrapnel. Morphine auto-injectors didn't work. Flew over an hour on a medivac flight with no pain killers.

this didn't happen to me but its the worst thing i've ever heard.

on that show "scarred"(i'm sure some of you have seen this and are already starting to cringe), there was a guy riding his skateboard at a school or something. he road over to some concrete steps(maybe 6-8 of them) that had a handrail going down the center of them. at the bottom of the steps, the end of the handrail was cut off, with jagged metal sticking up. the guy ollies up to do a railslide. he falls down straddling the handrail. he racks himself on the jagged metal..........ripping his sack open.................and his testacles fall out! the guy has to drive himself to the hospital with his marbles out of the bag........in his hand.

i still have nightmares about this. something so tragic and extremely unnerving shouldn't even be possible. :shutters in anxiety:

I remember hearing a rumor in high school that some kid was getting dressed after a shower and somebody rolled up a towel and went to whip him on the ass but instead it clipped the top under-side of his scrotum, tearing it open and leaving his exposed nuts dangling there full of blood for everyone to see. I think he passed out and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Running through the woods and I feel and smashed my knee on this wooden plank. I couldn't walk for like a week. Also I was fighting my brother once and I fell through a glass door. I've got 2 scars on my legs and one on my ass from that. I almost lost movement in my right leg. It was pretty fucking painful.

Ok, this isn't painful, but its a great story anyways.

I was mountain biking in grade 9, with a bunch of pro's when they were scouting to film New World Disorder 1 (the highest budget mountain bike movie of the time.)

Anyways, like Captngarden, my friend and i were trying to get sponsored and i guess riding above our ability, showing off.

There was a roll over, about a 20' claywall, with about 12 feet of vert spitting you out onto a forestry road before.

Id rode it lots before and it should be no problem, but I guess i had too much speed.

Complete header from 20'+ onto a hardpack clay road - broke my fullface, bleeding out my eyes ears nose and mouth. Flailing...

My brain was swelling bad enough in the first 12 hours i was nearly rushed to surgery to have my skull cut open.

Everyone thought i should be dead or at least a broken neck, but i woke a day later minimal long term memory loss. - Unfortunately, another rider had a LESS severe accident the same summer or the following summer, and is now in a wheel chair for the rest of his life.

_____________________________

Anyways, worst i've heard of was a guy at my school.

There was a basketball game and the guy went up for a layup and someone else went up to block him, the 1st guy fell sprawled out on the ground, and the blocker game down crushing his testicle. He had to have the crushed testicle mess removed.

_____________________________

Oh, onetime we were evaporating a massive pan of honey oil in a pan + it exploded + a friend and i grabbed the flaming pan and took it outside. I poured flaming butane down my chin/neck/arms/hands and got 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

my friend got it all over his face. I wasn't in much pain though.

wow. glad you're okay.

i did something similar on my dirt bike. we had bush-hogged a track on top of a mountain. at the end of the track there was about a 20ft  drop at about 55 degrees or so before you came around the last turn to make the next lap. at the bottom of the hill there was a small jump (about 3ft tall) that wasn't supposed to be part of the track. i came off the hill, wide open, and hit the jump, sending me atleast 20ft into the air. it was fucking incredible ....................until i realized i was not going to land on the track. there i am trying to hit the brakes in mid-air just before i hit a tree. i hit the tree about 15ft off the ground, destroying the front forks on the bike. luckily i was wearing all my riding gear. i got banged up but nothing too serious. i hurt for weeks though.
