Listening to any kind of depressing music while tripping is fine. The active chemicals in psyco-active drugs don't reduce the serotonin level in your brain, unlike aphetamines such as ecstasy which can do such that and could possibly send you into a temporary state of depression.

808...huh? listing to depressing music while tripping is safer than on E? you have some of it right on how x can lower seratonin levels (acid does the same thing) but check out www.dancesafe.org to get the rest of the details

weather or not depressing music will bum you out depends on the trip, if you feel like listing to such, go for it, just remember you can turn it off if it starts to fuk with ya

I am also a fan of Stabbing Westward, and that is one of the last bands I would ever listen to while tripping. Pink Floyd's The Wall is usually too much of a roller coaster ride of emotions for me. Stabbing Westward is what I listen to when already depressed, so I myself would stay far away from it.

Acid makes cause an alteration in seratonin levels, but not to the effect where that flux is the cause of depression or paranoia. If any kind of mental problem arises, its most likely do to the inability to constructively interprut the difference in auditory/visual senses and therefor cause the person to become warry about the environment he/she is in. As opposed to ecstasy where the seratonin levels become so high as to amplify any emotion to the point where it can become mentally uneasy.
