lots of things can make your trip. lots of thing to see and feel yourself but i found most intense when sharing the ride with someone worthy. hard to say what "your" thing might be, i like candles and such but i am a pyro. there is a hard to find B movie called "the party animal" that i thought was a good trip .

two great movies to watch while tripping are The Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory (the tunnel scene is pretty cool) also the Matrix if you can get it on dvd it would be really cool.

A good movie to watch is The Beatle's Yellow Submarine. There's some stuff that trips me out even if I'm not fucked up. Good music is always anything by Pink Floyd. Enjoy.

I was waiting for someone to recommend Yellow Submarine. That movie ROOOOXXX!!! I especially love the scene before the Elenore Rigby song starts where the city falls upon itself. Whatta trip!!

Yellow Submarine is my saviour. My first real successful time on shrooms started off horrible because after we ate them, we threw on Pink Floyd's The Wall (movie). This bummed me out horribly. I started thinking all this negative shit and whatnot. It was definitely a flashback to my first bad trip. I left midway through the movie and interacted with some other shrooming people, but was still on edge and depressed. After The Wall ended, my friend and I threw on the Yellow Submarine DVD. Wow! I had never seen colors like that before. Since then, it has become a staple of my shroom experiences.

If you want to see something really nice to trip to, watch 'More' from IFILM.com. They've been running it for quite some time now and just recently the Sci-Fi channel has been showing it on their latenight feature 'Exposure'. Although its a short film done almost entirely in stop-motion animation, it displays both amazing visuals as well as a rather emotional moral.

Make sure you have double the amount of cigarettes you usually smoke if you smoke, and preroll your doobies. Have pen and paper handy, and get good tasting beer. The best food to eat while tripping is simple and natural carbs like fruit (oranges and grapes rule) and my all time favorite is sliced bakery fresh Scali bread. Nice and chewy for those aching jaws. Incense is fun for trail blazing and bring your favorite tunes. Find a good place outdoors to go camping where you can make some noise or a house without rugrats. Make sure the house is clean beforehand. I'd also suggest dosing after sundown, and have lots of water, avoid diet drinks.

Yup, I'm a diet pepsi freak, but when I'm tripping, the only calorie-free drink I want is water. Normally I want somthing with sugar in it; drinking diet soda seems like I'm playing some kind of dirty trick on my body. I don't know why.

My first trip was to the Yellow Submarine!! It was great, the colors really come out a lot, but the best part is with the moving dots, in the sea of holes! When that part came on, it just blew my mind. Anyway, if you have surround sound with the DVD of it, the sounds that repeat on the menu (if you have it you know what i'm talking about)are really trippy, they swirl around you, so if you leave those on and watch tv, its really trippy. Anyway, make sure you feel comfortable wherever you are, cause that is the most important thing. And don't watch anything too depressing, it can really get to you. Oh yeah, and Diet Drinks suck.

You know magicpurplecow, the feeling may not be all in your head either. Aspartame and Phenylalanine, two artificial sweeteners commonly found in sugar-free products may in fact screw with your head and body in undetermined ways. It has already been established that drinking lots (and I mean LOTS) of diet soda can contribute to memory problems, and some people get headaches by drinking just a few cans. On a much smaller scale, proven to cause cancer in laboratory rats type stuff. Even so, I do not want to mess with it, especially while my senses are heightened and surprise negative synergistic effects may occur. M+eye toodles-odles centennial-ennial+s

Actually I drink diet soda all the time but it really tastes disgusting when you are tripping, like you're pouring poison down your throat. I was tripping and all I had was Diet Pepsi and one taste and I was like what am I doing to myself? Why not just drink water? I think regular soda is even worse with all that sugar I wish diet soda had sacharrine in it instead of aspartme. I'd think that the enormous amounts of sugar we eat probably kills more people a year than smoking, it leads to obesity and diabetes and heart disease. I am a sugar junkie personally it's my only addiction far more insidious than tobacco which was easy to quit in comparison. Watch any cartoon for kids and see how many commercials are for shit like coco puffs and twinkies. I really believe this is why we have such a health crises in the US, the sugar lobby is more powerful than you might imagine.
But Diet Soda really tastes like poison when you trip.

(aspartame seems to break down into phenylanaine & aspartic acid, but the residue of the lysis of that molecule is methanol, and a little methyl alcohol goes a long way towards poisoning you...)

Foods are a very strange thing when you're tripping. Eat cheap store-brand bogus pretzels and you're liable to percieve that you're poisoning yourself. The same goes for diet pop.Health-food pop is nice when tripping, especially something that's slightly psychoactive such as ginseng or passion flower. Apples are generally a bad idea. Too acidic, can cause stomach cramping. Peanut butter, too much work to get down. Very strange. Keep it simple. Shrooms won't give you the munchies, but eating while shrooming is very sensual and the taste of the food can be very intense. Cheese and crackers are nice. Pizza is good. I like macaroni and cheese. Salad should prove to be a trip within a trip.

The best tripping food i have encountered isSTARBURST!!!! Get the red ones...they are soooooo good while tripping. I enjoy apples and oranges also...Don't eat greasy food though...you will feel like it is eating away at your intestines ( and it tastes awful!)... -peace- ------------------

Seriously, the acid is it's own entertainment. It's really hard to follow movies and shit. Laying and staring at the ceiling, and getting lost in the topography is all you really need.Mood music is great, I *love* Pink Floyd. Ambient electronic music is great too. Future Sound of London: Lifeforms is my favorite, Aphex Twin. Orb is good, but more trancey than ambient. But really you don't need all that much external stimulus. I've spent half an hour talking to the carpet on mushrooms before. If you find yourself getting bored, take a walk. There's nothing like seeing the trees and sky, and smiling, and feeling the energy around it all. Have fun.

Okay the most freaky thing ive done while on shrooms was riding in a car. After a while I dident know if i was still in the car but i knew i was moving. Man its so freaky! My other friend dident like it b/c she keep on looking out the window, i think she got car sick or something...
My lava lamp is my shroom buddy to. Every time I look at it i cant pull my eyes off it. I have one with purple and blue so its super cool. It just looks so much better while on something tho...
