a freeking teenage girl actually "like" said this to me.

I use "like" sometimes, been influenced by a friend of mine who used it a lot too. I think it shows insecurity, so I'm like using it the less I can.

i use good grammar to hide what little southern accent i have. unfortunately 3/4s of people think that just because you are from the south means your an uneducated redneck. i throw yall around and what not, but i try to stay grammatically correct.
its fun to play grammar nazi though, i have blast doing it when my friends are high or frying. i don't do it every time they say something incorrectly, just when it bugs me.

Conjugate the verb to be!
I be He be She be We be
I use proper grammar when I'm writing, but I sometimes won't when I speak. If it gets the point across you're successfully communicating, I don't see a problem
I say, "I seen..." sometimes. I know it's not 'proper' but who gives a fuck, really?

Well...the second one I guess, but only because joseph sounds better than jospeh.
I dunno, if I'm real excited about something I saw earlier is usually when I'll say "seen". It's just a little derivation from the norm, mixes things up a little bit.

You Scots are a blast to get drunk with. 5 or 6 drinks, and you turn into unintelligible yelling bastards; its awesome.
lol yeah I have the same problem with the Irish I can't understand a fucking word once they get past 3 pints
I'm Welsh but I have never lived for more than a few weeks in the U.K. so I speak a pretty standard English.
My cousins always have a go at me for sounding too "posh" but they are mancunians and that is only one small step up from being a scouser so I don't take them that seriously

Yeah. the "have" makes it proper. People say it without the "have". I guess.

Common errors on the Shroomery:
- Many don't know the differences in meaning between "affect" and "effect." ("Does OJ effect a trip?") - often using "then" when the comparative "than" is appropriate ("LSD is stronger then shrooms.") - confusing "their", "they're" and "there" - (sometimes I wonder if people even know that they're is a difference.) - Using "it's" to denote possession by something, when really this means "it is" (appropriate use: "That is its power button." not: "That is it's power button.")
Those are the ones I notice most often, but I have an eye for grammar and spelling errors. I don't mind them that much. I tend to make spelling mistakes because of typing patterns (for example, I'm used to typing "that" so often I'll type "that" in place of "than" or words with "in" near the end tend to have an automatic "g" added because I'm used to "ing" endings). I'm really irritated when someone is perfectly capable of constructing meaningful sentences but can't string two two sentences together to convey more information or doesn't produce reasonable arguments.
On the other hand, some posts I see, especially in the S&P forum, are unnecessarily verbose. I like when people right real straightforwardsly.

I hope this last sentence was a joke or it showed a temporary lapse of good grammar.
