Syringe Needles

Hope this is the right forum. Does anyone use blunt syringe needles? I dont see any need to have a sharp one. Though it could be handy to have it sharp in a few situations.

I was thinking of looking at them on a slide under a microscope... but I think a 16ga needle (even blunt) would pierce tyvek/micropore. Anyone tried it?

I would think a blunt needle would cause greater damage to a self healing surface. A sharp one would be neater. Kind of like surgeons or high end chefs needing really sharp, like fiercely sharp, knifes. But that just makes sense to me maybe.
I'd like to tack on another question to this needle post: I heard that needles have a universal fit, is this true? Would one be able to use the needles they get from a vendor on a glass standard 10cc syringe?

Yes, they will almost all be luer-lok or leur-slip, if you have a threaded syringe, get luer-lok needles, if not get the slips.
Also, good point about the sharpness.

Well I tested tyvek and micropore. The blunt 16ga pierces both with ease, I mean literally the weight of a syringe will pierce micropore and tyvek just needs a little push. If you have the needle red hot it will pierce either with no pressure, but I don't think melting tyvek or micropore near/in sterile jars is the best idea.
So to anyone looking at buying syringes/needles in a covert manner, I suggest you ask for blunt needles, you know the kind you can't inject yourself with...

Blunt needles are bad for cloning.

I meant for the people who were discussing buying them locally (no records) and not wanting to raise suspicion. If you don't mind buying online TMS is an awesome place to get em.
Also, I poked a blunt one through a mushroom today and it pulled out a nice chunk. It's not like it is not rigid or anything, mushrooms are very soft to poke through.
Just wanted to share my findings.

FYI- you don't have to pay by credit card and no records are kept on mail orders. Most sponsors here have the option to mail your payment for maximum discretion.

Which state do you live in? My friend called Walgreens in Seattle and they claimed not to carry them.

Are you sure? My buddy called a Seattle Walgreens and they said no. Do you live in Washington?
Don't get me wrong, I believe you though since their are lots of idiots working in our world and am not sure if my friend spoke to some shmucko clerk or a pharmacy clerk.

I ordered mine online from some discount medical supply deal. I got 100 syringes and needles for less than $20 or so dollars total (shipping and handling, too).
I just wasn't comfortable buying these items in person.

I know I can get needles at Walgreens, but I need something bigger than a diabetic needle. Do they carry big long generic syringes?
