anybody grow invitro before?

im considering growing invitro for the first time. this would be my third grow. my first two contamed and im not too eager to grow again only to get fucked by trich again. so i read about invitro growing and its least likely to contam growing invitro due to lack of exposure to bad air or whatever... so that sparks my interest more than anything.
so my question is does anybody have any experience growing invitro? what are the pros and cons of growing like this?

If you messed up the pf tek due to contams, the problem isn't which type of grow, it's your sterile procedure. Once anything is fully colonized, it will be very resistant to contamination. What step where you getting contams at???

100% colonized, new mycelium is very resistant to contamination. I think you're more likely to see trich either during colonization, or after you've had a couple of flushes.
if your grows are getting triched before they ever flush, growing invitro isn't going to help you then. Your problem is either in your substrate (not enough sterilization), your containers (improper/wet filters), or what you are using to inoculate with (spores/LC not sterile).
But I might be wrong.

Well I've never* done it, but read about quite a few cases. There's a few things that are considered invitro. For example, you can take the tops right off the jars like this.

You can grow inside a jar that has a decent amount of room in it like this.
But if you're thinking about doing it in a PF-tek jar, it's not a good idea. There's barely any room inside them, so there's no FAE. It usually happens by accident if someone forget about their jars for a few days or something.
It's not really recommend cuz the yields are very low, and who knows if and when they'll produce cuz you're cutting off a major pinning trigger. If you really wanna do it, I'd suggest like the 1st pic where you take the top of the lid off.

YEAW BOY!!!
lol i do in vitro sometimes, heres some pics

 invitro harvest, 26.5g wet.
they obviously arent as meaty and thick but its probably the laziest and easiest way to grow mushrooms, it also allows for alot of fun innovation (jar placement, riser construction, humidity and temp experiments).....alot of people knock it but if you just want shrooms without alot of work then its the best way.
as for contams, it would be more resistant imo...theres nothing landing on your cakes, i would think that if you made them in a clean place you would have a higher success rate. good luck
are we allowed to post links to thenook? my apologies if not but this is a VERY helpful and old school place for in vitro stuff. http://www.thenook.org/archives/2386.html

i ALWAYS contam when i put the fully colonized cake in the FC. it never happens immediately, only after sitting for a week or two. theres nothing wrong with the sterilization procedure if it contams after a while like that right? should i give casing a try? how do the chances of failure compare to PF tek jars?

If you have fully colonized cakes contam'ing that quick you gotta figure out what's up. Casing layers will contam too, and I'd guess are more likely to contam than a fully colonized cake, which should be pretty contam-resistant.

If a cake that is fully colonized gets contaminated than my money is on the fact it is not fully colonized on the inside..

If you wanna do invitro why not just do Mycobags? There'll be no contam risk and your yields would prob. be higher
www.themadseason.com has some really good premade bags. $12/ea for 1, $9/ea for 5, and $8/ea for 10
