So I left Plasmid a rather unsavory comment (along w/ a pity rating of 5) a few months ago. I noticed that rather recently Plasmid has deleted his rating of me of 0, which prompted my retaliating remark. Upon attempting to PM him to discuss the matter I find out that he doesn't accept PMs and instead, to anyone trying to contact him via PM, he offers this reasoning:
"This user is not accepting private messages. I do not accept PMs. I am not here to make friends or enemies. If you have an issue with a rating I left you, I don't care. It's only a rating and I will likely delete it. If there is something you would like to ask me then ask it in a public forum. "
Plasmid, you are quite an interesting part of our community, but it kinda makes me like you even more than the average joe shroomerite. I'm gald your with us here buddy, I mean friend, I mean...shit.

He did the same thing w/ me. Gave me a bad rating [which I returned], then he deleted it [as did I]. I told him I noticed he did it and that it was cool - and he said when he gives bad ratings it's usually just temporarily to send a message, lol.

Also he/she's not that smart. Knows a lot but has very limited thoughts and can't accept the experiences of others whatsoever. Still I'm glad that foo's on the shroomery.

can someone tell me WTF ratings are for? who cares if you have a good or bad rating..? i have been told i had a bad rating or ratings, probably because i post in OTD so often but i have never seen my own rating and really don't care to do so...
whats with the ratings? will i get $ if i get good ratings?

There are 'general' ratings, and then there are 'trade' ratings. Both can be found under your Shroomery user name on each post you make. Just click the blue or green mushrooms. The blue have no real value besides reputation value, while the green trade mushrooms are a good indicator as to whether it's "safe" to trade with another shroomerite based on other trade transactions. It's all very easy and simply used.
