Yes fellow shroomers, I am completely flabbergasted that either

A. So many of you believe feverishly in total nonsense.

or

B. The mysterious powers that you believe in are so pathetically weak as to be unable to be clearly demonstrated.

So you tell me which it is: Gullibility or Ineffectivity?

I guess I left out the ability to comprehend. Thanks for filling in the third possibility.

Why are amazing and extraordinary powers less powerful and amazing than a child picking up a penny from the floor? Why are spiritual powers supposedly capable of moving mountains unable to move a nanogram of material? Why are the "healing" powers of prayer no different than random chance? Why is telepathy no different than random coincidence?

Billions believe in special powers that are not special and cannot be shown. If that is not mental illness then I am not sure what is.

Maybe these powers have nothing to do with this world. Though I CAN PROOVE mushrooms give you big powers compatible with the real world! Just think mushrooms gives you another view on the reality. Food and everything around you gives the normal view that all people have. Now just make the equation system formed by theese 2 diffrent realities and you will find the only reality! I know a lot of you have thought of this...

it says "faith moves mountains"... you lack it, big time... so you will never experience it... you will NEVER experience the beauty and the power or the spiritual realms, unless you believe in them...

1. I am glad you are back posting. I have been concerned.

2. Apples and oranges may make a nice fruit salad but do not encourage honest debate.

3. Someone peed in my stream of consciousness. I'm calling the EPA.

4. The love of money is the root of all evil.

In sum:

The manifestation of the universe as a complex idea unto itself as opposed to being in or outside the true Being of itself is inherently a conceptual nothingness or Nothingness in relation to any abstract form of existing or to exist or having existed in perpetuity and not subject to laws of physicality or motion or ideas relating to non-matter or the lack of objective Being or subjective otherness.

We have been down this road many times. If I spray an invisible, odorless, tasteless nerve gas in your face, you will die regardless of what you believe about it because belief is merely an interpretation of the world not the creating force behind it.

Please explain how your form of belief is different from self-delusion. Please explain why those that DO have faith are unable to heal others or themselves; never mind moving mountains.

Again, Swami,

You are being an ignorant fuck and I'm sick of it.

You wanna see some real mystical shit? Find a tai chi master and ask him to send his energy to you. They can make people hot, make skin tingle, and make people move without the person actually chosing to move.

Oh of course, the people they do this too are full of shit right? They want to believe it so they falsely percieve things that aren't raelly happening? Right.

Ah, I should adopt a more loving attitude like yours.

...and I'm sick of it.
What exactly are you sick of? Are you so uncentered as to anger so easily over nothing?

You wanna see some real mystical shit? Find a tai chi master and ask him to send his energy to you.
Do you want to recommend someone in particular? I studied under a Shaolin master who was amazing physically, but I saw no evidence of any mystical powers. Guess I didn't study under the "right" master.

aye, tai chi.......it is not so much mystical powers but changing and controlling the flow of energy through the human body. Chi is energy controlled. aye is can be viewed as mystical powers but also just a shit load of training and will power of the mind. One day i will become that good. But when i do become that good, it will be like nothing to me. I will have an aura or presence around me. it will be total controll. I am sure you felt this around your master Swami. If not then i guess he was not at that level. But no doubt probibly still a bad ass mother fucker

[moderator hat]

You are being an ignorant fuck and I'm sick of it.

We try not to use such language when addressing each other. If Swami's posts rankle ask yourself which nerve they are hitting and why. Comments such as those make some think you cannot speak intelligently.

Currently we do not have a rule against flaming. Neither do we want to create one. Please keep such comments to a minimum. Thank you.

You are among friends here.

I might add that we are all ignorant fucks, what's bad is not realizing that you're ignorant.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

Here is one of Timothy Leary's responses in an interview to something. I just thought of it when reading this post. I share the same views as him, and look at what people call material or spiritual as energy.

"TIMOTHY: But the brain is a receiving instrument that picks it up? Yes. Well, there's no question. You don't have to say non-material. You're just referring to something we haven't been able to measure yet. See, the air is full of television signals, and to show a primitive person that, they'd think it was magic, or it's immaterial. It's not. It is material. Remember, almost everything that the former primitive religions called spiritual, you can redefine as being immeasurable right now by our level of equipment.

The planet earth is being bombarded by radio signals from outer space, none of which are comprehensible to us, and part of evolution is the increasing ability to detect information. You see, it's all information, everything is information. Morphogenetic information is information signals that we are now too crude and childish to pick up. I tend to resist strongly this notion that there's a spiritual thing that's outward beyond science, because then we have no options, we're just kind of helpless victims, and someone comes along and does it. So I have no quarrel at all with this notion. My only quarrel is with people who try to limit or moralize about different options."

Wise words. You're the man Tim.

Just because your eyes can't see something doesn't mean its not there. If somebody else (with their eyes more open perhaps) sees something and tells you that beyond the shadow of a doubt there is something there, will you believe him? Maybe you'll try looking yourself, but maybe you brain just can't interpret the images and steadfastly denies its presence. Either way, lets all just try to keep an open mind and not so valiantly disagree with things we cannot undestand, because maybe there's somebody out there who can.

Sorry for the rude overreaction, that wasn't fair I know. But after seeing him mock the perceptions of so many of us over and over I was getting a little pissed off. I'm not in the most peaceful state of mind at the moment, I'm under the influence of exhaustion so I apologize for stepping out of line.
