Any one know any good websites to pick up some desiccant packets to put in zip lock bags so my shrooms stay good ???

I heard you can make your own desiccant packets - they sell a clear kitty litter that is 100% crystalline silica.  I just did a search and this came up - pretty cheap too

I was just looking around a little more, and it seems the 100% silica gel litter is called "City Cat".. I was searching but all I saw was sites in the UK.

SO I figured why not just search for plain silica gel.  I found this right here - 1.5lb for $5.79, as far as what to put it in - you could get empty tea bags, that would work fine.  Or I bet just making your own packet w/ a napkin, and stapling it shut would also work fine.

Napkin/paper towel should work great, as suggested. Another way I've seen it done is by poking holes (smaller than the silica) in a film canister and throwing that in the bag.

you can get a brand in at the walmart called mimi litter that is 100% silica gel. i have recharged mine twice so far and everything is going good.

Well i use a dehydrator to dry my shrooms but for long storage I was thinking about adding some desiccant to a ziplock bag just to keep any sneaky moisture out..
