Would you get the bank teller in trouble?

So today I took a deposit to the bank, cash and two checks. My handwriting isn't the greatest, sure, but I wrote on the deposit slip as clearly as possible. The teller took the deposit and a few seconds later gave me a deposit receipt. I was walking out of the bank when I looked at it and realized she had shorted me $90. I went back and pointed it out to her and she said, "Well you're 9 looks like a 0 on your slip." I asked, "Don't you read the actual checks to double check the amounts and add them up?" "No, I just go by what you write down." That doesn't seem like the smartest way of doing things to me.
But whatever, she puts the 90 into the account. I walk a few long downhill blocks to catch the R train. While I'm waiting, I'm bored and fiddling with whatever's in my pockets. I take out the receipt for the second go-around and I realize that she deposited all the money (and it was a shall we say sizable sum) into somebody else's account! And this was nothing you can blame on my handwriting, only her apparent dyslexia - she switched out a 6 in my account number for a 9. Right when I realize this, the train arrives. I have a lot of stuff to do in the city, but obviously I have to get this straightened out.
So I go back to the bank, wait on line, wait for the same teller, and have her correct the problem and move my money to my account and out of whoever's it landed in. She wasn't overly apologetic at all, and in fact, she seemed more annoyed that I was coming back time after time to fix her mistakes than sorry that she made the mistakes in the first place.
So I'm feeling a little torn. I don't like complaining about people, getting people in trouble. However, if I hadn't thought to look at that receipt (I usually rip them right up and throw them in the trash), how long would it have been before I realized that over a grand I should have isn't in my account? I'll tell you how long...until next week when my landlord tried to cash my rent check. Maybe I caught this girl on an off day, maybe she usually does really good work. I don't use this branch of my bank all too often so I don't have a lot of experience with her. But maybe she's always haphazard like this, and this isn't a deli, it's a bank, where people's money and finances are at stake and the whole operation banks (no pun intended) on her paying close attention to what she's doing, check she's processing, etc.
If you were me, would you call the bank supervisor about this?

I never complain either, but this sounds fair to me: its not something frivolous and she needs to be told. If you expect good service, you need to let the people know when they are fucking up so they can make corrections. You would be doing both the bank manager and the teller a favor by complaining in this instance.
I'd only feel bad about if she apologized profusely and told you she was having a rough day, which she didn't.

unfortunately bank jobs are not one that can be fucked around with. chances are she'll be given a second chance, unless she has been complained about beforehand. getting to bank-teller status isn't as easy as people like to think. she shouldn't be making any mistakes, period

considering her major fuck up and general "who cares' attitude i'd definitely be doing whatever I can to try to keep her from fucking with my or anyone elses finances. Thats a pretty big fucking deal. And i'm the type of guy who gets annoyed at friends and family who complain to waiters about small things wrong with their food order

If it were at my bank, I wouldn't because I know them all pretty well. See them every week. If they were a total bitch about it, I would though. I wouldn't want to deal with a bitch every week.
Turn that bitch in for being a bitch.

i'd get her fired, you're paying her wage, you are their customer, and expect a certain competency in her work. on the other hand, it's your money, it's ultimately your responsibility to make sure it's right.

Absolutely.

I would complain man. You never know how many other people have gotten screwed over by her. Like you said, it's not a Deli where she put the wrong stuff on your sammich or over charged you... This is your wellbeing that she is dealing with.

If I was a bank teller I would make damn sure I was typing in the numbers correctly since that would be the thing I am getting paid to do, it's not difficult.

I resist complaining since I grew up with a mom who used complaining as one of her tools of exploitation, but when somebody is handling your private funds so irresponsibly it warrants speaking up. I would've said let her off the hook if she was apologetic and embarrassed, but it sounded like she was completely careless and absent minded.
In other news, I went to the bank yesterday and one of the tellers that works there came out from behind the counter and what a gianormous fantastic ass

Honestly, I'd probably talk to her superiors, because like you said, its a bank. She made 3 mistakes- didn't do her job correctly the first time, didn't check the amount- deposited it in the wrong account- and was not apologetic for fucking up your day. She could be dicking other people over too. Its not your fault she's next to useless, so don't feel bad about talking to a manager.
