question on black pin mold

ok, i posted this in the contam forum, but havn't gotten any replies
so maybe someone here can help me

most of my jars are completely colonized,
but there are spots on one or two of my jars...
they appear to be right on the inside of the glass
tiny flecks of black, that at first i thought were clumps left over from
the spore syringes, but i really don't know
they're kinda grouped together, with what looks like mycellium
holding them to the glass... i don't know how else to describe it
it looks like someone shook pepper on some parts (just a little bit)
there seems to be more of it than when i first noticed, but again, its such a small amount, i dunno.
the cakes are completely white, colonization is almost done
i don't have a camera to post pics.... could someone do me a favor
and post some pics of black pin mold for me?
it really doesn't look like a contam, and it doesn't seem like its getting into the cake... just on the inside of the glass...
it doesn't look like the black pin mold i saw in that contam pic post,
i'm not taking any chances
does black pin mold smell?
any tests or things i can check for?

Are you using vermiculite in your substrate? My Iguana has noticed that sometimes a flake of the vermiculite material will get pressed against the glass.
Watch it...and if it grows, that in itself should tell you that it IS a contaminate of some sort. hope that helps a bit

yes
brf/verm 1/2 pint jars
with a verm seal
i dunno, theres nothing in the bag of verm that looks like this
the little flecks are dark black...
they're not round, not square, not structured or organized
just tiny random flecks that look a lot like the spore clumps did in the syringes
but...
if they were spores, wouldn't they have opened, or changed
or something once the colonization started?
i dunno, the pics in the contam post of black pins were either fuzzy,
or looked nothing like this :P
