Inoculating poo

I prepared 2 small jars of pasteurised poo and inoculated those just to see what would happen. It seems that the spores germinated and the mycelium is growing fine.

Is there any reason not to do this with pint sized jars or any disadvantages I'm not aware of?

Well , with a larger jar your mycelium is spread out more. So when you are colonizing you might experience un-even colonization. Shrooms might appear before 100% colonization. But if you know what your doing you should be alright
