possible to use tea?

i was wondering if it was possible to use tea grounds instead of coffee grounds when mixing with coir? has anyone ever done this?

Yes.  Tea works, but spent coffee grinds are better.

Well, coffee grounds is a seedmeal which acts as a high nitrogen nutrient source in a substrate.  Tea is usually crushed leaves or maybe flowers, so would be comprised mainly of leafy green stuff, which would have less nutrients than your substrate probably has by itself.

So I don't think tea would really boost your yields in any appreciable way, but I doubt it would hurt anything.

But I have no idea.

not sure, whatever wife uses, lol. whats the benefits of using tea/ coffee grounds, mixed with the coir like that. is it better to use or not use it?
