Would I still be Okay??

I realize this is a bonehead, rookie manuver.  :blush:      That being said:

Prepared 15 jars of BRF Cakes, PF Style.  I have limited boiling space (and no pressure cooker at this time) so can only do 8 at a time.  I did the first 8 and let them cool overnight.  However, I didn't get to innoculate for whatever reason.  A few days later I RE-steamed the first 8 jars, just in case anything may have gotten into them.  Same problem, couldn't innocculate the next day (it's been a rough month, let me tell ya!!). 

So I have 8 jars that have been steamed twice, and 7 jars that haven't been steamed at all.  All sitting on the counter, wrapped in foil, for about a week and a half total.

If I steam them all tonight, and innoculate tomorrow.... should I be safe contamination wise?  Will the new steaming kill anything that might have happened just from the time has passed?  Is steaming more than once or twice detrimental?

Yeah, I'm a dork.  I never denied it  :P

well, i have never actually done that, but i have OVERsteamed and OVERboiled my jars a couple of times. At one incident, the water ended on the pc, and the glasses broke. But they didnt fall apart, so i said, wtf lets try it. The mycelium grew healthy and kicked ass.

One time I had 24 half pints, or something like that, and I did them all up with two syringes. One syringe had died though (Kept imporperly maybe?) So anyway, I ended up only having 5 jars work out of the batch.. The jars just sat around and in fact they're still just sitting there. I'd still use them if I had a syringe, but I don't, so yeah..

I figure if they're not contammed now, they probably won't contam after I innoc.

I'd say just boil the unboiled ones, and innoc the boiled ones, don't worry about boiling the already boiled ones again.
