Birdseed Millet ?

I read a story about a guy who was growing mushrooms.
In the story the guy read a fictional article to the tune of bulk neglect report. Now there is a problem. In preparing the seed, the character in the story thought that he should let the seed dry out over night(due to the word *Thoroughly dried out", and has done so. He plans to add 12cc's of Peroxide to the jars before innoc. He now thinks though that he should not have let the seed dry out that much, and rather should have packed it in the quart jar after about 15 minutes of drying. The character must wonder if this is correct? If the seed must be packed when still moist to the touch the character wonders if he can use the aleady boiled/dried seed over again, or if he can add an amount of water (estimates appreciated) to his 1/2 quart jar (keeping in mind the 12 cc's of peroxide) to keep it from being too dry. Our character would appreciate all fictional feedback.

I can't speak for adding the peroxide, as I don't do that. I believe it is not needed, if you PC it properly (meaning -- long enough).

If your really worried the seed is to dry. Simply resoak it for a few minutes. Then rinse, drain & load.

If you are adding H2O2 then innoculating with spores then you are wasting your time because the spores will be killed.
You can add H2O2 then innoculate with mycelium (ie. mycelium syringe, agar wedge) because H2O2 doesn't kill mycelium.
