Growing p.cubensis amazonian strain ???

Ok, couple questions, i have just started doing this been very sanitized and kept everything perfect. i see it says 3-5 days for first signs of colonization. I have my jar in indirect sunlight its been around 85 degrees everyday night droping no less than 75. Is this going to be ok for my colonization or should i build an incubator?
second i have tin foil over the tops of my jars but wont they dry out? or are they going to be ok. i have ready in may posts that you shouldnt tape your holes but it seems to be a mix 1/2 and 1/2 some say do some say dont i just dont want to lose my first batch.
Thanks Ryan

Yeah if you leave them in light.. further into colonization they will start to pin in the jar. You don't want to grow invitro do you? Keep the foil on it to keep air contams out. You can take the foil off and flip the jars at 50% colonization to promote quicker growth

Try 2 keep the temps up a little. 80-85f...Also keep the foil on if your not using tape. I don't flip the jars unless growth slows. Don't mess with it if it's not broken.

I have amazonians going right now, they worked real well outside so far. Indoors I have to wait and see, just birthed casings and a couple cakes about a week ago, so no fruits yet. My jars definitely showed signs of growth before the end of the first week. I use a heating pad set on low, maybe that's the difference.

I never leave the foil on any of my jars (grain or pf-jars) and I have not had any problems. As far as pf-jars are concerned there is a reason you put the 1/4 inch layer of vermiculite on top, it keeps airborn contams from entering your culture. So as far as leaving the foil on with pf-jars - You don't need to! plain and simple.

I'm growing two strains atm, B+ and these Amazonians. The B+ have performed perfectly, through every stage, and just last night I harvested them. Now my Amazonians are doing OK, but much slower. Right now the 4 amazon cakes I have all have small spots of mushroom growth no larger than 1.5 cm and they all look kinda weak or something. So I was wondering if the amazonians need something a little different than the B+. Any suggestions would be great.
