Extreme headache after tripping, help?

My friend had an extreme headache about 6-8 hours after ingesting shrooms (not feeling the shrooms anymore). This has happened to him about 3 out of 5 times when eating shrooms. The headache can almost be described as a migraine in intensity. The trip was a very very positive besides this negative after effect. Can anyone offer any insight? ways to avoid this? is it common?

over the counter headache medicines seem to help immensly...so its not a huge deal but very uncomfortable to wake up with a headache that bad.

Could just be a typical reaction to coming down off Shrooms. Everyone is affected differently.

Psilocybin mushrooms deplete calcium from the users system. Calcium is essential to muscle functioning. This is why some people experience tremors, twitches, and general muscle tension.
Dehydration is also a factor in headaches. Combined with calcium depletion, you have the makings of a severe headache.
Suggest to your friend (the next time he/she plans to have a mushroom experience) to drink plenty of water the day of the experience, reduce alcohol & caffeinated beverages (de- hydrating to the body), stretch the body thoroughly, and take a calcium supplement.
Additionally, if your friend is ingesting enough fungi for a level 3-5 experience, more than likely he/she is remaining motionless for hours on end. This lack of activity will set the stage for the body's muscles to cramp, also leading to a severe headache. Set and setting could be an important factor in your friends headaches.
Best of luck to your friend.
Peace to Everyone,

I've also noticed severe dehydration and frequent urination is common during a trip. The problem is you don't feel like drinking anything (at least I don't, food and drink is so unappealing at that time) but that's just my 2 cents
