Tell me how to make your favourite home made food .
Here's mine, ripped straight from that other thread:
I cook in bulk so that I don't have to cook throughout the week, I'm in the process of making some balti / madras hybrid, here's my recipe:
2 medium/large onions (finely cut up), 1 can of chick peas in water, 1 can of chopped tomatoes, A piece of garlic (forgotten what the individual units are called, finely cut up), an equal amount of ginger (finely cut up) A 1/4-1/2 a packet of spinach (which is about 50-100g, finely cut up), A handful of lentils (pre-soaked is better, but not nessecary), A stick of lemongrass (finely cut up) or a squeeze of fresh lemon, 2 Chillies (not needed, but I like my curries hot), 50g of chopped up mushrooms 2 medium sized chicken breasts (or substitute potatoes if you can't afford / don't eat chicken; today I'm having a mix )
And the key ingredients; 1 tablespoon of patak's madras curry paste (which is essentially cumin & chilli in oil) and 1 tablespoon of patak's balti curry paste (tomato, lemon & corriander in oil).
So, basically you fry the onions (the slower the better) until translucent / golden brown, then add the finely diced garlic and ginger and allow the onions to fry in it for a few minutes so that they absorb the flavour. Next add the tablespoons of curry paste and again allow the onions to fry in it for a few minutes. Add diced up chillies (if required) and then add the tin of chick peas & chopped tomatoes. At this stage I like to use a hand blender to turn it all to liquid. Using the tin from the chopped tomatoes half fill it with water and add it to the mixture & mix that shit up
Now add everything else to the mix and cook on a low heat until the chicken is cooked and everything else has dissolved into the mixture, and you're satisfied with the viscosity of the curry.
It is absolutely vital that you take your time with all the steps, especially the onions (and don't be shy about using lots either)... The slower the cook the curry, generally speaking, the nicer it is .
I look forward to this meal every week .
The curry pastes look like this:

microwave potato until 90% cooked.
cut potato lengthwise to make flat pieces and set them skin up on a preheated grill on medium heat.
after about 15 minutes take them out, flip em over and cover with italian dressing, parmesan cheese, horseradish, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt.
eat either by hand or with a fork. theyll be creamy on the inside and crusty on the outside. perfect snack!

well it all depends on the microwave, but just cook it until it starts to feel soft, but not too soft. you want the grill to finish the cooking and add the crispyness. i use a george foreman electric grill too, but ive done it on gas/charcoal grills before you just gotta make sure it doesnt burn.
potatoes are my favorite food right now, good recession food
