Ready to grow

i am gonna be ordering some spores from the little guy and am ready to go but i have a question as to what the best casing method is i was thinking of putting like a half an inch to an inch of soil mixture with fertilizer in it mixed with vermiculite moistned then my colonized substrate on top of that then a 1/4 an inch layer of the moist soil that has fertilizer in it put that in a rubbermaid container and spray till moist 3 times daily.

Would this idea work more importantly would it work well this would be the cheapest for me but i am asking for any advice you guys might have this is my first time growing and some advice or additions would be good i am growing mainly golden teacher and mazapatec. And usin the alien cake preperation method.

If it is your first time why not just grow from cakes?

well casing seems pretty easy and it increases yield so thats why.

I would just take it one step at a time if I were you, casings add another step that although easy can be screwed up cakes yeild nicely too! If you are set on casing you can use streight verm for your first time.
