Deja vu on mind alterants?

Just curious as to how many of you this has happened to.
My own experience of "deja vu" was when I was at a 1 day techno concert after I had consumed at least 7 pills.
It started when me and my buddies were over chillaxing next to a pile of beanbags in the chill out area.My buddy said something like " this is fucking unreal" and something just clicked in my brain and I looked around feeling as if I had been in the same place before in the exact same situation.
Then my other bud sat down and I was thinking "wait a minute this exact moment has already happened!".The next thing one of them lit up a fag and that just blew my mind.It was as if I knew exactly what they were going to say and do because I had already been there as if it was all scripted and I was the only one who read it.
Anyone else have any experiences like this?

You do know what a deja vu really is, now, do you? First off a deja vu doesn't really exist. What you "remember" is what is just happening. It's your brain playing tricks on you making you think it's a memory. It's a memory alright. It's a memory as old as it takes for the sensation to travel your nervous system and hit the synapses in your brain. There is no such thing as a REAL deja vu, no matter what all those ghost and psychic believers and esoterics out there are trying to make you believe. So next time you have the feeling of "Wow, this has already happened once before!" be aware that it happened a few nanoseconds before. That's what you "remember".

Well I knew it was'nt a real memory as I had'nt actually been there before but it was just the intense feeling after feeling of having been.I did'nt understand the science behind it but thanks. It's nice to know the theory behind the phenomena;)

I have to agree with German Kahuna (except for the term nano-second) but I explain it as neurological bufferring of experiencing.
as a psychedelic takes hold, signals from sensation and memory fade more and more slowly; the colors layer together and get richer, sounds layer together more reverberantly; sensations are richer.
more slowly fading signals cause one's experience to be composed of layered moments.
normally a moment of experience fades within 1/15th of a second. when you are really stoned the fading can last up to 3 seconds and you can be distracted by trails and richness deep into the stack (of layered moments).
when this happens, you can easily have deja vu, which hits like a whiplash as you jerk up to the surface of what is happenning through a short stack of time (less than 3 seconds) that you have been richly exploring.
enjoy...

Well, the "nano-second" I mainly used to give an idea for "really quick".

I am not saying that experiencing a deja vu isn't cool, there's just nothing mystical about it.

Those are some pretty bold statements homeboy. I didn't know you were a definitive mouth on Deja Vu. Interesting...
Oh well; either way, most of the times I have Deja Vu it's actually me realizing that I had already *dreamt* the situation before (which can be verified by my having written down the dream or told some one about it, before experiencing it.
Pretty much almost every time I trip, I have INCREDIBLE deja vu a few hours before I take it, and wherever it happens, whatever the situation, say for example it's two hours before I trip and I have a hard core deja vu in front of a mirror; exactly two hours after I eat my mushrooms (I say mushrooms because this happened once on a mushroom trip) I'll be standing in front of the mirror having a "Time Catching Up With Itself" experience (if you know/can imagine what I mean)
Every time I do mushrooms though it feels eerily as though my personal visage of Time was taken up in a slingshot at the beginning of the day, held in place until I drop the shrooms, eaked back tighter and tighter as I get the first waves, and then SLAMMED let go when I'm fully tripping.
Also as I'm coming up I get a lot of what are very obviously false deja vus like when I was taking a shit during this same trip come up in the bathroom of the dorms I was visiting, where I kept coming back every few minutes because I got the shits for the first 20 minutes; Every time I would go, I'd have a "deja vu" involving people I'd seen on the way, in the hall, the last time I came down hiding behind the stall doors and staring at me or whatever other weirdo shit, just being dead non-speaking mummies of bodies that are doing weird ass shit with weird intentions (this was the part of the trip where all my odd conspiracy shit I was going through at the time was coming up; the 60cycle hum from the fluorescent lights was all part of the plan, the fact that the dorms have such trippy rugs was designed specially to keep the silly kids entrained into the college experience... yadayada)

When I read the thread title I thought you were referring to the strip club.
