making prints

how long do you guys take to make a print? the FAQ says 12 but that doesnt seem to be enough time. am i doing something wrong, all i get are light prints? and there are still spores on the gills when i run my finger across

I think you answered your own question! :grin:  If there are more spores on the gills, then just let the cap sit longer.  But not too long or the cap will start to rot and you don't want that.

when I make them I leave them for 24 hours, then remove the cap, then leave the print for another 24 hours in the same container to dry before I fold it into the little foil envelope.

Index cards wrapped in aluminum foil:
24 hours to print, fold sides over card and place in drying chamber for a couple days.  Fold top/bottom and keep for long term storage.  Thats one method anyway  :grin:
