    #931379 - 10/04/02 10:02 AM (15 years, 20 days ago)

my Thai's (Lipa Yai) are on the jars since 22/9 and yet no sign of any mycelium nor contam. are those Thai's slow movers in general?

Yassou!

My experience was that they were slow, but kick-ass potent...worth the wait.

im growing the same strain myself, and they've been incubating for 15 days now, and are only about 65-70% colonized.

They are just as fast as any other strain. The more spores u put the faster it will go.

Egos have done extermemly well . Started project from spores 9/6 , yesterday setup in worm castings substrate , already see signs of redevelopment today .
Thru some jars that were ?able and some over grown petris, and one quality jar  in a hole following Moes OD tek .
Was so quick was concerned was contams , but smell test was a 99% positive , hope it works .
Good Luck

Sorry folks got ahead of ego there . Spore to agar , agar to grain , grain to bulk sub . I notice alot of you cake makers say slow , curious to know if you added a little grain to mix if it might speed things up a bit ??????? HMMMMMM Needs exploration !

Thai strains of Cubensis tend to be faster than other varieties and with quite unique mycelia. But if you have a poor sporematch they may be slow. Sporematch genetics could make any strain fast, slow, quick fruiters, slow fruiters, etc.

as i have stated before, there is a fluke in some thai strains actually, within each strain, where they arent as productive in a warm environment. try taking them out of any incubator your using, and keep them at room temp. This has helped me, and a few others
