In the teks I have read they said about .5 grams fit in a gelcap. That would mean 7 pills for an eighth. Maybe you don't want to get caught with shrooms somewhere. No one will suspect your "vitamins".

Nah, 00 size are supposed to hold .5g if packed tightly.

If you get 000 you can hold about a gram of powdered shrooms. If you pack them in really tight, i imagine you could get even more. Gel caps are the most effective method of taking mushrooms, because everything get digested faster, and it leads to a stronger trip. http://www.shroomery.org/dosageandingestion/jmcapsule.htm

Why would someone make gelcaps?

Many people do not like the taste and gelcaps present a very comfortable way to move into a trip without the negativity of having to consume something that induces pure disgust.

How do gelcaps fare in the stomach?

The powder in a gelcap must be rehydrated in the stomach but when I tried them I noticed they came on really really fast. At the time I thought too fast, I wasn't ready but thats another story.

How much do they hold?

When I packed a few, dunno what size they were but I had this piece of metal that happened to be perfectly shaped for packing this size gelcap. I got around a gram in each time but it took AGES to get it all in because I insisted on making sure it was fully packed.
