Chocolate.

It's my anniversary tomorrow, and I am wanting to do a chocolate dipped rose and strawberries. I have done strawberries before, however, the choco was really thick, and I know it wouldn't work for the rose. Anyone know how to thin chocolate so it's thick liquid, but still have it set?

Step One:
Melt 12 ounces of chocolate chips with a tablespoon of shortening.
Step Two:
Dip stuff in it.

Not quite. I've been cooking since I was in middle school. The chocolate is too thick.
And I know it seems strange for me to ask, but I am a rather strange person with a very strange personality. The problem with adding cream or milk, is that it may make it too thin and not set up properly. There have been recommendations on cooking sites to add shortening and/or butter. But goddamn, I don't want to give her a heart attack.
And yes, you can eat the rose. Just not the stem. I also know there is a cooking forum. However, there are far more people here in the pub and I am more likely to actually get a response.
And it's not a pentagram. It's a sigil of baphomet. Big difference. The pentegram is some jackass christian thing. The sigil is from the Church of Satan.

Believe it or not you can eat shortening and not die immediately.

Instead of a choco-dipped rose, how about something else a little choco-dipped?

.... Such as? OH! I could do pretzels. I'm already doing strawberries. I couldn't find a decently shaped rose so I dumped that idea for a later time.
And speak for yourself whiskey, I'll die if I look at that shit.

MMMM! Chicken breast. Don't even cook them.
Wind. LOL. Yeah. That's kinda what I figured. But, was attempting to keep my mind from there.
And water wouldn't work at all. In my experience anyway.

Oranges dipped in chocolate is really good too. Somehow, it makes them taste minty.
