Is there anything that can completely block mycelium growth?
    #9290537 - 11/22/08 08:13 AM (15 years, 4 months ago)

Is there anything that can completely block mycelium growth? Besides temp, bad spores, jars to dry, to tightly packed or constantly screwing with them......Is there a bacteria or contam that will not allow growth? Even with contams should see some mycelular growth?

If something else like a contamination is growing and has colonised the area the spores wont even germinate.

How long have you been waiting? I hear some guys waiting upwards of 3 weeks to see any signs of growth, tho I never wait more than a week.

Ever think that the lc was not cubensis mycelium? cause that is very common that the lc was contaminated.

Are you capable of making a clean spore syringe your self?

yea ..i did think it might be contam....but just like with lc..the spore syringes same thing....plus the lc water was clear, no discolor and not cloudy....although my lc never got "stringgy" it always looked like big snowflakes floating around.

if your lc syringe was clear then it probaby doesnt have any mycelium if your spores wwere viable then after a few weeks youd have a cloud of mycelium in your lc jar.

the liquid was clear but had small snowflakes in it. Like a snow globe.
