dude, stop trying to take short cuts...this is part of the hobby.
You've used up all the nutrients in the mycelium. How is it going to colonize new substrate? It won't.
Start your grain prep & make another 10 jars, to avoid having this large lul between monos do a G2G on one of the jars when it's fully colonized. Then you have another 10 jars + 9 other ones...
Damnit bio...ya beat me to it..

Whoa, take it easy there big guy. Slow down a little bit.
It's in bad form to discuss growing active mushrooms for profit, against site rules, and illegal. Please be more mindful and respectful about what you'r posting and where you'r posting it. Have a good day, sir

The Website said: With this beginners grow kit you will easily set out into the world of mushroom home cultivation. Our four step guide is a short but clear explanation what to do in order to have your first mushrooms emerging from the soil. Once you have mastered the basic principles, further experimentation can begin. In no-time you will be an absolute mushroom cultivation expert! This kit includes mycelium which is the magic mushroom stage after spores a lot of people screw up with spores so this kit bypasses the spore problem and supplies the mycelium All you have to do is mix the mycelium with some supplied substrate place in the dark for 3 weeks and like magic you have 4 pounds of magic mushrooms!

Being a smartass won't help either. You don't need to waste you money on a grow kit but if your lazy go for it. They're pretty self explanatory so i don't see why you would need any help picking one. Enjoy investing 200 bucks to learn nothing mr. business mogul.

Funny, the kits I found costs $50.00 US...
but they generally are not as productive as spending $50.00 US on material, spores, and a safelite tote...

1. Does darkness help mycelium grow? 2. When should I be shaking my whole grain jars?

Actually light helps myc grow. We've discovered that leaving jars on a shelf in room temperature and light speeds colonisation.
Most people shake there grain jars once at 20-40% visible colonisation.

Nibin said: Method 2 Grains and Bulk Growing
While spawn is normally colonized grain, you can actually also use broken up PF tek cakes, and if you have been patient enough to read all of this you have just discovered the way to grow in bulk without using a pressure cooker (as the pressure cooker is required to prepare the grains, not the bulk substrates)
This was such great info! I am looking at doing my first grow just trying to get it all planned out before starting. I am looking at using broken up PF tek cakes for "Method 2 Grains and Bulk Growing" Do i inject the spores into the 1/2 jars and wait for them the 10 days for them to fully colonize before i break the cakes up? Or would it be a better idea to break the cakes before injecting spores and then mixing the cakes and spores together? Do you have any ideas you would like to recommend.
To the fruits of our labor, the magical treats!
